On the occasion of World Tuberculosis Day, the students of Laxmi Memorial College of Physiotherapy(LMCP), lead by the Social Welfare Committee of the Student Council, conducted an awareness programme on 24th March 2023 at KSRTC bus stand, Mangaluru. The act began with a flash mob to get attention from the public, followed by a skit on the mode of infection, causative organism, signs and symptoms, preventive measures and treatment of tuberculosis. The public were also made aware of the government schemes like National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) aimed at reducing TB burden in India. The programme was supported and attended by the PRO of Laxmi Memorial Education Trust Dr. Abhilash PV, Dr. Sanjay Eapen Samuel, Principal, LMCP, Dr. Harish S Krishna, Staff coordinator, Social Welfare Committee and teaching faculty of LMCP.
